Our Methodology
Every platform reviewed on MatchGauge is evaluated by our editorial team using a consistent, 8-criteria scoring framework. Platforms are tested directly — our reviewers create accounts, interact with the platform's features, and evaluate the actual user experience rather than relying on marketing materials.
Each platform is scored on a 10-point scale across eight weighted criteria:
Rankings are reviewed and updated monthly to reflect platform changes, pricing adjustments, feature additions, and shifts in the user base. A platform's score can increase or decrease between review cycles.

How We Earn Revenue
MatchGauge earns revenue through affiliate commissions when users visit dating sites listed on this site via our referral links, and through sponsored placements where platforms pay for featured positioning. This commercial relationship may influence the order in which listings appear on some pages.
Our editorial team maintains independent scoring criteria. A platform's presence on this site and its ranking position are determined separately. Compensated placement does not substitute for a positive editorial score, and platforms cannot pay to improve their review scores or editorial assessment.
We do not accept payment to alter review content, fabricate user testimonials, or suppress negative findings. If our review of a platform is unfavorable, that assessment is published regardless of any commercial relationship with that platform.

- Platforms can submit corrections of factual errors — factual corrections are reviewed and applied; editorial judgments are not
- Any material change to a platform's score is documented with an update date and explanation
